MAC Chatterbox

Hi everyone! Today I have a review on a recent purchase of mine, MAC Chatterbox.

I picked this lipstick up when I was away this Christmas as we don't have a MAC counter where I live so I thought it was the perfect chance to pick up this little beauty. I spent around 30 minutes swatching all the lipsticks trying to decide which one to pick, so many nice ones too choose from!

This is a lovely pink colour, not too bright and not too subtle either. It comes under the amplified creme section on the MAC website. I have been wearing this lipstick almost everyday as it is very wearable for day and night time.

This lipstick lasted on me around 4-5 hours baring in mind that is with a lot of drinking and eating on most occasions of me wearing this. I also love the smell and taste of these lipsticks! I might sound a little crazy but it is true.

Overall this is a great colour and I love it! Definitely a favourite lipstick of mine! I also want to quickly apologise for the crappy quality of this last picture, like yesterday I had to use my phone for the last one as I couldn't get it right with my big camera.

What I did this week #4

Hello everyone today I am back with this little series I started before I went off on my little blogging break. My what I did this week, telling you all what I done in the previous week!

Sunday- Today was my last day at work. I was working until 3 then headed to my dad's to celebrate my second Christmas. I went to meet my stepmum and sister from the train station then headed back to my dads to open my presents and have a cheeky takeaway. I got some great presents!

Monday- This was my best friends birthday! I started off with going to the doctors for a little blood test, I then went to Dumfries Ice Bowl with my friend to go ice skating! I wasn't that good though as my ankle kept giving way so I gave up and just watched my friend. I then headed to a very posh Italian restraunt with my friend and all of her friends for her birthday meal.

Tuesday- Argh New Year's Eve! Nothing really happened in the day time apart from I played sims all day! On the nigt I headed to a surprise wedding with my dad and his family. It was a fun night with all of my stepmums work friends, they are all crazy! Only downside was the taxi never turned up to take us home so we had around a 20 minute walk back which isn't good when your in very high wedges and my poor sister had no coat!

Wednesday- Again like the day before I played sims all day at my dads before having a full on Chritstmas dinner! It was lovely and I can not wait for another one next Christmas!

Thursday- Yet again a very lazy day! I went round to the shops with my stepmum and came home to play sims again, we had a massive buffet for tea it was yummy and still lots left 2 days later!

Friday- I went back to my mums in the morning then took a little trip to Sainsbury's, I got a diary to keep my little blogging self organised and a hot air brush which there will be a review on soon! I played a little more sims and watched Celebrity Big Brother

Saturday- Well this was abit of a poopy day! I woke up feeling awful! With a sore throat and bad head, I popped to town as I needed to go to the bank then came home and got in my pyjama's and watched telly all day from the couch.

YSL Babydoll Mascara

Hi everyone so today I have a review on the YSL babydoll mascara.

I won this in a giveaway not that long and have been wearing it everday since. I love the tube this mascara is in, a lovely gold shiny bottle which could also double up as a mirror if you were really desperate for one haha. 

The wand to this is slightly bent and is a plastic wand applicator. I prefer these type of applicators to the brushes with bristles.

Here is my eye without the mascara on, sorry for the crap quality of the pics of my eyes, I couldn't get it right on my big camera so in the end I resorted to using my phone camera to the close up of my eyes.

Here is my eye with the mascara on, my lashes look a lot longer and fuller with this mascara, I really do love this one, think it may become a firm favorite of mine now.

I really want to repurchase this mascara but the only thing stopping me is the slightly more expensive price tag at £24.50

Life Update.

Hey everyone so today I am going to be doing a little updates post telling you what I have been doing recently and my plans for the coming month.

I haven't really blogged that much since I started college in September which I am doing level 1 beauty. I have already passed 3 of my assessments needed to pass the course.

I had been working in a well known card shop for 2 months over the Christmas period but I am now finished there so I am now looking for a new job to fill my time as I am only in college for 2 and a half days a week. 

I go back to college on Wednesday and I really can not wait, I have missed it lots. All of the girls on my course are lovely and we all get on very well.

Now I am back with no  job I will be posting on here alot more as I have more time as when I was working I had no days off.

I also was very ill a few months ago which I think I mentioned in a post. 

I think that is about it for now.

Paperchase Wishlist

Hey everyone today's post is going to be my Paperchase wishlist.

If you are a blogger yourself you might be familiar with the obsession of notebooks and diaries.

I am obsessed with them at the moment and I went into Paperchase in Sheffield for the first ever and I bought a diary and a pen from there. I then came home and ordered more notebooks from the website. 

There is still things on the site I would like so I thought I would share with you what they are.

1. A5 week to view flock damask 2014 diary. Everyone needs a diary to keep them organised. I keep my diary to write in shifts at work, college dates and blog and video's. I write down everyday what post and video is going up to keep myself organized. £8

2. Pretty owl felt notebook. I love owls at the moment they are so cute and having one on this little notebook is adorable. I love how it is felt too so it will have a texture too it aswell.  £9

3. A5 Glitter gold notebook. How amazing is this notebook? I love sparkles and glittery things and this is just like a glitter explosion!! £6

4. A5 Beaded elephand stitch notebook. This notebook in me eyes is stunning! I love the detail on it. Although I would be scared of the beads falling off when its in my bag and things.  £10

5. Russian Doll Highlighters. I always like highlighting little random things in my notebooks that I may or may not find helpful one day, I also really like Russian dolls so these are the perfect combination! £3

6. Neon Pink Lockable Journal. This year I am going to be keeping a diary for a little challenge that you will know more about in February. This is a great diary as it is pink and lockable. £10

2014. New Years Resolutions and what to expect from me.

Hello and welcome to 2014! I actually can't believe it is 2014 already! How fast did 2013 go by?

Today I thought I would share with you my new years resolutions and what you can expect from me here on my blog and on my you tube. I will do 5 resolutions for myself, 5 for my blog and 5 for my youtube channel.

New Years Resolutions for me

1. Tidy my room, decorate it and keep it tidy.

2. Fit into UK size 10 clothes.
3. Pass my level 1 beauty and get on to level 2.
4. Get a good, stable, permanent job.
5. Have at least a provisional driving license and maybe start driving lessons.

New Years Resolutions for my blog
1.  Reach 100  GFC followers.
2. Reach 10,000 page views.
3. Celebrate my 1st blog birthday.
4. Blog everyday for the whole year.
5. Reach 50 bloglovin followers.

New Years Resolutions for my you tube.
1. Have 50 subscribers.
2. Have 100 videos by NYE 2014.
3. Upload at least 2 videos a week every week.
4. Have a video reach 100 views.
5. Don't give up with my videos!

What to expect from me this year
Okay so this year you can expect lots of reviews and makeup looks here on my blog and over on my youtube I have an exciting little series coming up for you on there so keep your eyes out on there too. I will also be doing lots of tutorials such as nail art and makeup looks over on my youtube but pictures will be posted on here too. I am going to try and post everyday next year and hopefully twice a week for videos.

Hello everyone sorry I haven't blogged in a while!

I have been super mega busy with work and college that I haven't had time to blog.

I am writing down lots of idea's though for posts for after new year when I will return back to blogging.

Also I am going to be setting up my Youtube channel properly doing videos everyday. I am again writing up lots of idea's so that there will be lots of fresh content when it comes round to getting back into the swing of everything.

Lush Lip Srub- Mint Julips

Hello lovelies, today I have a review on this saviour! Lush lip scrub in mint julips. I previously had bubblegum which I loved so much but that was a few years ago now and I thought it was time I picked another one up, this one was recommended to me by one of the lovely ladies who works in my local lush as she knew I liked this kind of scent.

I have really dry lips so one of these is crucial to me to keep my lips feeling soft and not chapped.

This is a caramel type colour and smells so good. It smells like after eight mints and tastes the same. I have to admit though the lady in the shop told me it was chocolate but I can't taste chocolate in this it all.

I use this more than once a day especially at this time of year when my lips are getting dry.

I put my nivea lip butter on after this to make my lips extra soft!

This costs £5.50 and is from lush.

What I did this week #3

Hello my lovelies! Happy Sunday! It's time for my what I did this week post again. It is a little more exciting than last week! But still could have been better. I love doing this post because I can look back in a while and see what I was doing on certain dates, like a little diary but public!

Sunday- I had a lazy day again, wrote up my blogging schedule for the next few weeks, wrote some posts and took pictures! Very organized for once.

Monday- I basically done the same as Sunday, I was supposed to go into work but I was still in so much pain that I couldn't.

Tuesday-  I went back to work! I forgot how much I enjoyed it! Was a busy day, really starting to get me into the mood for Christmas now!

Wednesday- Back to college! It was great to see everyone! One of the girls had been for her pregnancy scan so was showing us all her little baby. I practiced manicure ready for bringing a client in for assessment next week!

Thursday-  I went to college, I was in so much pain, my tuter kept telling me to go home but I wouldn't! We done facials to start off in the morning, I was supposed to have something called group tutorial which is basically just life skills but my tuter for that was off so we went in with level 2's and learned shellac! I then had maths and English which was boring! 

Friday- This was come to college in your oneise day for my class for children in need. I also tried the new costa chocolate and orange mocha latte and I have to say it was lovely! I sadly got sent home from college as I was still ill, gutted that I never got to take part in the fund raising but well done to my girls who raised £124.45 for children in need.

Saturday- Remember last week? Yes, the exact same happened again although I got a cheeky little x-ray thrown in too! Still the same, another injection and I am to see how it carries on through the next few days.

#BritishBloggerSelection- Favorite Clothes Shop

Hey everyone so this week for the #BritishBloggerSelection we have to write a post up about favorite clothes shop. I haven't got 1 favorite so I am going to do my top 3.

Where I live we don't have that many shops to buy clothes, I am going to tell you the two I always buy from in my city and one that I buy from if I am near one.

Newlook- We have one in my city and for years this was the only clothes shop I went in as all the other ones were expensive and as I was younger I couldn't afford to shop anywhere else. Newlook is still a firm favorite and I think it always will be.

Internacionale- Since we have had this shop in my city which isn't that long I have always gone in here, I love how it is cheap-ish and have some great clothes. We have had internacionale a few times but I hope this time it is here to stay.

Primark- This is my favorite clothes shop and sadly we don't have one where I live! The nearest one is in Newcastle so around 1 hour and a half away. I love how it is so cheap and they have some lovely clothes in there. I hope one day we get Primark here!

Children In Need 2013

Hi everyone, as today is Children In Need today, that's what my post is going to be on. My class at college decided to come to college in our onesie's and raise money by going round the college and into our town center with buckets for children in need. I was going to take lots of pictures to add to my post today but unfortunatly I got sent home from college poorly so I couldn't take part in the fun :(. Luckily I have a few pictures of my oneise, nails and my face as I also went bearfaced as they calling it.

OUTFIT

This is one of my onesies. I chose to wear this one today to go in to college. This onesie is from Primark about a year and a half ago, I think it was £12 but not too sure.

NAILS

Here are my nails that I had today. I painted them all yellow apart from my ring finger which was white. I then added a white strip on my thumb to look like Pudsey's bandanna  On my ring finger I added the spots that are the colour of the the spots on Pudsey's bandanna and same with the white strip on my thumb. I then done a bear's face on my thumb making it look like Pudsey.

FACE

You might be aware that a lot of celebrities this year are going 'bearfaced' which means no makeup and having a black pawprint on there face for children in need. I also done this for college as I thought it was just a good idea to do as so money other people are doing it.

I am not sure how much my class raised for children in need as I had to go home, when I left we had raised £10 but that was just us all paying £1 each, they were going around the college with buckets when I left them so hopefully they raised a lot!

Onesie/Pyjama's

Now, what women doesn't love new pjyama's? Onesies too! So why not get one for them! I love my onesies to cosy up on a night infront of the fire with candle's lit after a nice relaxing bath with a mug of hot chocolate. I love getting new PJ's and getting in them for the first time. Beauty Blender

Hey guys so today I have a review on the beauty blender. I got this a while a go on ebay for 99p off this seller. I use this everyday to apply my foundation and I love it. I had seen everyone going on about these for ages in the blogging world but never got round to getting one but i am so pleased that I did now! I don't think there has been a day gone by where I haven't used this since getting it. The only down side is how long I waited for it to come as it came all the way from hong kong.

Barry M Natural Glow Palette

Hey everyone so today I have review for you! I haven't done a review in what feels like the longest time ever but here we are.

I picked up this little beauty around a week a go and I love it. It is a great compact palette for on the go as it has 6 shadows and 1 blusher inside of.

As you can see the palette contains 6 neutral eye shadows and a pink blusher. I love my neutral colour eye shadows which if you have been following me for a while you will know that I love my neutral eye shadows although I taking a step out of my comfort zone and trying different colours. I am not a one that wears blusher lots too but I really like the blusher in this as it isn't too bright and blends in well on my face.

The pigmentation of these shadows are really good. The lighters ones are harder to see on the white background but they are pigmented. I am dissapointed that you can't see the first two swatches :(. 

All in all I love this palette. I am tempted to get the other two palettes too!

How much is my face worth?

Hey everyone so today I am doing the 'How much is my face worth tag' post. What I did this week #2

Hey everyone so its Sunday which means it is time for my What I did this week post!

This week hasn't been a very good week for me so this post is going to be very boring. I am not looking for sympathy at all with this post, I am starting this series and I am sticking to it no matter how boring it is!

Sunday- I stayed in bed all day because I was starting with flu!

Monday- I went to work which I really shouldn't of done!

Tuesday- I stayed in bed all day reading blog posts!

Wednesday- I went into college as I was only in for a few hours and I done manicure!

Thursday- I ended up at the doctors on a nebuliser as I couldn't breath properly. On the night I was at the emergency doctors with the same problem but they didn't do anything!

Friday- I went back to the doctors as I was still struggling to breathe and had a big pain in my lungs. They sent me home with tablets. My mums friend came round on the night and we had a laugh, which made me feel a bit better!

Saturday- I spent the whole day in hospital! We finally found out what is wrong, due to my flu I have pulled the main muscles around my ribs that is causing the same amount of pain as it would if I have broken ribs. I had to have a needle in my leg to stop me being sick and am now finally on the mend. On a happier note I got my first ever MAC lipstick and two maybelline colour tattoo's.

1. Why do you like blogging? I love blogging as it is something I can do that helps me escape the rest of the world and write about things I enjoy. I also love the community that comes with blogging, it is a great way to meet new people who have the same interests as you.

2. How did you come up with your blog name? I came up with 'Makeup by Keira' as I base my blog mainly on mainly on makeup and hoping to do some Makeup looks. And the final part is my name, and as the blog is made by me it all makes sense.

3. Where from the UK do you come from? I come from Cumbria, right at the top of England next to Scotland.

4.  Favorite colour? As you can tell from my blog colour scheme, it is pink.

5. Do you like Lana Del Ray? Not really no! I don't really listen to her as her songs aren't really my thing.

6. Hidden talents that you have? I can bend my feet round the other way.

7. Celebrity crush? Peter Andre, my mum has got me tickets for his concert next year! I am so excited. I also like Tom Daley.
